- Obtaining a Building Permit
Plans and specification are required with all applications.
The Building Official may require plans to be prepared by a licensed engineer or architect. All multiple dwellings (more than 4 units per structure), new commercial buildings and commercial remodels over 3000 square feet. or when structural changes are necessary, shall require plans prepared by a Utah licensed engineer or architect. Approvals of Planning and Zoning, Public Works, and the Fire Departments are required before issuance of most building permits.
The City of Saratoga Springs Building Department requires a Non-Refundable deposit for all building permit applications being submitted for review. The deposit will be applied toward the cost of the building permit. The costs include:
