Stephen Willden
Term: January 2022 - January 2026
Stephen has lived in Saratoga Springs since 2005. He enjoys spending much of his free time with his wife and children. They love movies, basketball, vacations, spending time outdoors, and playing games.
Since graduating from Brigham Young University with a master’s degree in Accounting, Stephen has worked for Zions Bancorporation as a SVP & Director of Wealth Risk & Compliance accumulating nearly 18 years of professional experience developing and implementing positive change through innovation, use of technology and leading and building strong and effective teams.
During his professional career, Stephen has achieved the designations of Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), Certified in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), and holds numerous investment and security licenses through the FINRA, SEC, and MSRB. In addition to his work at Zions, he has worked as a controller, network administrator, and university instructor.
Stephen enjoys serving our community by using his experience to help invoke positive change. For nearly five years, he served as a volunteer on the Saratoga Spring’s Citizen Finance Committee holding positions of secretary and vice-chair for much of the time before being elected to the City Council in January 2014. Additionally, Stephen has been a member of the Board of Directors for the Harvest Hill’s Master Homeowner’s Association holding the office of President, Vice-President, and Treasurer.
For the last eight years, Stephen has supported the city as a member of the Utah League of Cities and Towns, functioned as the council representative for the city library, and supported a number of other critical projects and committees. Stephen is very excited to be given the opportunity to continue serving our fantastic community. Stephen’s experience, career and plans for the city can be summed up by using the following motto: “Dedicated to Making Good Things Better!”
