Borrow eBooks and eAudiobooks for free on Libby with a Saratoga Springs Public Library card! 

Libby is available through the mobile app or on a computer. To use it on a mobile device, follow these steps:

  1. Install Libby for Android, IOS, or Fire tablets from overdrive.com/apps/libby. Or visit libbyapp.com in your Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge browser.
  2. In Libby, follow the prompts to find your library and sign in with a valid library card number and PIN.
  3. Browse your library’s collection and borrow a title.
  4. Borrowed titles appear on your Shelf ( Libby on a Mobile Device - Libby on a Mobile Device - West Sussex ) and download to the app automatically when you’re on Wi-Fi, so you can read them when you’re offline.
  5. On your Shelf, tap loans at the top of the screen. From there, you can:
     
    - Tap Read With… to choose whether you’d like to open a book in Kindle (U.S. libraries only) or Libby.
    - Tap Open In Libby, Open Magazine, or Open Audiobook to start reading or listening in the app.
    - Tap Manage Loan to see options like Renew Loan and Return Early.

Some titles can be read on Kindle devices. To send books from Libby to your kindle, follow these steps:

  1. Tap Shelf Shelf, in the navigation footer.
  1. Tap loans at the top of the screen.

  1. Tap Read With....
  1. Tap Kindle.
  1. You'll be taken to Amazon's website. If prompted, sign into your Amazon account.
  1. Tap Get Library Book. The book will appear in all Kindle apps and devices associated with your Amazon account.
