[ARCHIVED] Waterline Break in Lake Mountain Estates Neighborhood

Hand turning off water

A waterline break in the Lake Mountain Estates neighborhood on Harbor Bay occurred this morning. Residents living in Lake Mountain Estates, Pelican Bay, and Harbor Bay neighborhoods will likely have service interruptions or low water pressure today, due to the breakage.

City crews are currently addressing the line break and working to repair the leak. Crews have located the break and are now making it safe to move forward with repair. There is not yet a timeline on the repair, but we are working quickly to address the situation.

Residents have asked if the city will issue an boil notice. The City is not issuing a boil notice at this time. The city keeps a positive pressure on the line so that contaminants cannot enter the line during the break. If you or your neighbors see any debris coming through the tap, this is minor debris already in the line that has been through the treatment process. Such debris can occur when flushing the system for maintenance or in situations such as a line break. If you see such debris, please flush your system by allowing the water to run for a bit.
