Photo Contest

The Saratoga Springs Arts Council sponsors a photo contest every year. Each year there is a different theme that celebrates the City of Saratoga Springs. The initiative will contribute to the development and promotion of the city of Saratoga Springs, by demonstrating the beauty, fun, recreational and cultural opportunities in Saratoga Springs. The 2026 photo contest will be held in June, as part of our America 250 Celebration. Our contest theme for 2026 is: Seeing America in Saratoga Springs.

Who May Enter

Anyone age 6+. The contest is divided by age categories: 6-15 year old's and 16+ year old's. All photos need to be taken of or in The City of Saratoga Springs. Each photographer will be allowed 3 entries.

Evaluation Criteria

All submissions must be appropriate for all ages to view. The received images will be evaluated on the basis of:

• Use of Theme
• Content
• Creativity
• Original coverage of the characteristic or unique features of the City of Saratoga Springs
• Professionalism

How to Enter

Applications will be available online June 1, 2026. All submissions must be scalable to at least an 8 x 10 photo and be in jpeg format. No submissions will be accepted before the opening date or after the closing date of June 30, 2026. 

Prizes

There will be a 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winner in each age category.
