I was born in a quaint town nestled in the heart of rural Alaska to Jeff and Linda Wadman, the latter being a dedicated school teacher. My father, an Alaskan state trooper, led us to traverse various small communities during my formative years, eventually settling in Willow, AK, where most of my childhood memories were crafted. Growing up amidst the rugged beauty of Alaska alongside my three brothers and two sisters, I developed a profound appreciation for the outdoors—fishing, hiking, and reveling in the natural splendor.
My youth in Alaska was filled with social engagements, sports, and an active lifestyle. At 19, I embarked on a transformative journey, serving a mission for my church in Italy. While Italy's beauty captivated me, I always longed for the familiarity of my homeland. Upon my return, I pursued higher education at BYU, earning a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, followed by a return to acquire a Master's in Business. College provided not only academic enrichment but also a platform for social interaction and exploration of diverse career paths.
After college, I found love and companionship in my wife, Julie, with whom I've been blessed with four beloved sons. Witnessing their growth into young men has been one of life's greatest joys. Over two decades ago, we made Saratoga Springs, Utah, our home, relishing in its evolution into one of Utah's premier cities.
Throughout my life, I've remained actively engaged in politics and community affairs, driven by a passion for making a positive impact. My family shares my enthusiasm for outdoor adventures, and together, we delight in exploring the myriad treasures both within and beyond Utah's borders.
There is indeed much to see, much to do, and much yet to accomplish.
