Robert Taylor
City Council
Term: January 2026 - 2030
Rob Taylor brings over 30 years of executive financial experience to the Saratoga Springs City Council. A retired credit union CEO and a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, with a B.S. in Finance, Rob has spent his career navigating complex state and federal regulations. He continues to serve the community as an independent Medicare insurance broker, acting as a trusted guide for seniors by navigating the complexities of healthcare with transparency and ethical care.
Rob’s professional background includes serving as a legislative liaison in the Nevada and Idaho state legislatures, as well as on Capitol Hill. These experiences have instilled in him a 'watchdog' mentality; having seen firsthand how well-intentioned policies can create unintended burdens on families, he is committed to ensuring Saratoga Springs’ ordinances remain fair, practical, and effective.
Since moving to Saratoga Springs in 2019 with his wife, Bonnie, Rob has been an active and informed resident, recently attending the Saratoga Springs Police Citizens Academy. As the proud parents of five children and 13 grandchildren, Rob and Bonnie are dedicated to ensuring the city thrives for generations to come.
As a Council Member, he is defined by transparency, collaboration, and fiscal responsibility. Rob leads with integrity, prioritizing the community’s long-term interests over personal agendas. Through active listening and respectful engagement with residents and city staff, he leverages his problem-solving expertise to champion sustainable economic development and a vibrant local economy.
